Hi! My Name is Seth!

The OFF-KILTER comic is a passion project born out of a slightly caffeinated, slightly confused creative journey I’ve been on for the past few years. I’ve spent a good chunk of time trying to find my place in the creative world—mostly through writing children’s books filled with wonder, whimsy, and occasionally an evil alien banana.

Along the way, I wrote and illustrated a middle-grade fantasy novel and even developed a pitch packet for a middle-grade graphic novel. My plan was to go the traditional publishing route, but for whatever reason—probably because of that suspiciously quiet squirrel in my backyard—I haven’t figured out how to get them in front of the right people.

Sure, self-publishing has always been an option… but it never quite felt like the right fit. So, instead, I did what any creatively restless person would do: I chased a different rabbit trail—back to where it all started. COMIC STRIPS!

Many years ago, I wrote and illustrated a comic strip for my local college newspaper, and I absolutely loved the process. So here I am again, older, hopefully wiser, and still drawing things like ghosts in a job interview. I don’t know exactly where this will lead, but my hope is to bring you a rhythmic dose of the silly, the strange, and the delightfully absurd.
